Dori Media Sells Power Couple into Mexico & U.S. Hispanic Markets

Dori Media Group has notched up new sales on the reality format Power Couple, created by Abot Hameiri, in Mexico and the U.S. Hispanic markets.

The show, which gives couples extreme challenges to test how well they really know each other, was picked up by Televisa Mexico. After piloting in Israel, the format was sold in ten countries, including Germany, Brazil, Hungary, Slovenia, South Africa, India and China.

Nadav Palti, CEO and president of Dori Media Group, commented: “The success of Power Couple‘s ratings and sales demonstrates that it has all the ingredients needed to be a hit show, and the show’s popularity is indeed gaining momentum and becoming one of the biggest reality formats worldwide. We are delighted that Televisa Mexico will adapt the format, which we know, will prove to be a success for them as it has appealed to a broad range of audiences from Latin America to Europe and Asia—as indicated by feedback received by local partners and reviewers globally.”

Eduardo Clemesha, VP of entertainment at Televisa, said: “Power Couple is a new and fun format, which fits perfectly with the content profile that Televisa offers the audience of Channel 5. The confirmed international success of this format by Dori Media assures us of its relevance globally and reaffirms our belief that this project has enormous potential.”
