The Vietnam-based producer Red Carpet is working on a local adaptation of the Zero Sum Game format from CJ ENM.

The game show sees ten participants compete with just one rule to follow: maintain your weight until the end. Based on the initial sum of the participants’ weights, any change in the total weight directly affects a change in the total prize money.

The format premiered in July 2022 on the CJ ENM-owned OTT platform TVING in Korea and has already been commissioned by HTV7.

Diane Min, the head of format sales at CJ ENM, said: “Words can’t explain how excited we are to ink our first global license deal for the Zero Sum Game. We hope the format will offer lots of fun and thrills to Vietnamese audiences and also continue to find viewers around the world.”

Enzo Tran, the strategy director at Red Carpet, added: “As a member of CASA Holding, Red Carpet is a passionate team of creative and results-driven professionals committed to delivering top-notch commercial and premium entertainment content that excites Vietnamese audiences. In line with our mission, we are thrilled to announce our latest addition, the newest and hottest reality show called Zero Sum Game, which is set to captivate the Vietnamese market and draw in a wider audience.”
