SINGAPORE: FremantleMedia and Syco have a long track record across Asia with the X Factor and Got Talent franchises, and now the companies have teamed up with Saban Brands to bring La Banda to the international market.

“There’s a lot of global interest in the show following its ratings-bonanza launch on Univision in North America,” says Glenn Sims, FremantleMedia Asia’s director of creative content. “FremantleMedia has the most impressive and enduring range of formats in Asia,” he adds.

The company is also looking to drum up interest across the Asia Pacific for The Eureka Moment, a science format that pits teams against each other to test their knowledge and predict the outcome of experiments. The classic American game show To Tell the Truth is making a comeback, and Sims says it’s “bigger, better and more insane than ever before.”
