BBC Studios Sends The Stand Up Sketch Show to Israel

BBC Studios has licensed Spirit Studios’ comedy format The Stand Up Sketch Show to Kan 11 in Israel for adaptation.

The series takes well-known local comedians’ best stand-up stories and brings them to life in sketch form. The Israeli version is currently in preproduction with My TV Communications.

Kan 11 is also home to other BBC Studios formats such as Trust Me I’m a Doctor and The 1% Club.

Israel is the third international market to license The Stand Up Sketch Show. Versions of the format have also been ordered in Sweden (SVT) and MENA (Shahid VIP). In the U.K., four seasons have aired on ITV2.
