The Voice has been licensed to CJ ENM in South Korea, where the show will return on Mnet this spring after a seven-year break.

CJ ENM will also produce the local treatment. The Voice is very successful in Asia, with currently 13 versions on air.

Ayesha Surty, ITV Studios’ senior VP of licensing for Asia, said: “Music has the amazing ability to bring people together. In these unusual times, a positive and heart-warming show like The Voice will continue to entertain people across every generation and help bring families together in front of their TVs at home. Mnet with its fantastic reach is the right partner for us to bring The Voice back to the people of South Korea again!”

Sang Jun Park, producer at CJ ENM, added: “It is refreshing to have a new season after seven years. All of us are having harsh times this year and I strongly believe that the program would be a great chance to share comfort and deep impressions with everyone.”
