Barry Poznick Steps Down at Amazon MGM Studios

Barry Poznick is stepping down from his role as general manager of unscripted TV at Amazon MGM Studios and head of MGM Alternative to launch his own company, which will begin a three-year executive producer deal with the studio in January.

Poznick will continue as an executive producer on various MGM reality franchises, including The Voice, Shark Tank, American Gladiators, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Vanderpump Rules and more.

In a statement on social media, Poznick said, “After nearly a decade leading one of the industry’s most successful unscripted studios, I’m excited to share that I’m launching my own company—returning to my entrepreneurial roots form the early days of ZOO Productions/All3Media. But this time, I’ve already got my first client—Amazon MGM Studios.”

“It’s been a childhood dream come true to guide some of television’s most popular and profitable franchises with shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, multiple streamers and cable networks,” he added. “I will continue producing the hits we’ve built and can’t wait to create new ones, too.”
