Gunpowder & Sky Launches International HQ

Global content studio Gunpowder & Sky has opened its international headquarters in London under the leadership of former Endemol Shine exec Randel Bryan.

Bryan will serve as managing director of Gunpowder & Sky International, working under Floris Bauer, the Los Angeles-based co-founder and president. He is charged with bolstering the company’s footprint abroad.

Before this appointment, Bryan was managing director at Endemol Shine Beyond UK, where his accomplishments included overseeing the development of the division’s first YouTube Red series, DanTDM Creates a Big Scene, and launching a number of online channels, such as Rule’m Sports. He also managed Beyond’s branded entertainment arm.

“We see tremendous opportunity in international markets with more OTT services emerging, and a clear demand for more youth-focused content,” said Bauer. “As our first international hub, the U.K. market was a logical step, being well known for having an extraordinary creative talent pool and producing content that travels globally. With Randel coming on board, with his unique experience of building a digital-first premium content business, we are fulfilling an early ambition to accelerate our presence outside of the U.S.”
