Berlinale Spotlight: FILM.UA Distribution

BERLIN: As FILM.UA Distribution returns to the Berlinale market, the company is keen to promote the feature The Stolen Princess to attendees.

The animated fantasy/comedy movie will make its theatrical debut in Ukraine in the fall and the TV rights have been presold to Novy TV in the country. “The producers and creative team are developing the production at the highest level [of quality], plus the English-language international version is being produced simultaneously with the original Ukrainian production,” says Igor Storchak, the CEO of FILM.UA Distribution.

Other highlights from the company include The Stronghold, an adventure/fantasy feature that is currently in production, and Battle for Sevastopol, the distribution rights for which are held by France’s Loco Films.

“We’re expecting to increase the awareness for our brand and projects around the world and to find new opportunities for international co-productions, as we have a list of projects in development at the moment,” notes Storchak.
