Sophie Turner Laing Set for MIPCOM Keynote

PARIS: Sophie Turner Laing, the CEO of Endemol Shine Group, will deliver a Media Mastermind keynote address on the opening day of MIPCOM, October 5.

This will be Turner Laing's first MIPCOM address as the head of Endemol Shine, created from the merger of Endemol, Shine Group and CORE Media. The business encompasses more than 120 companies in 30 markets, generating productions in 50-plus languages. Before being tapped to lead Endemol Shine, Turner Laing had spent a number of years at Sky. Before that she was at the BBC. She started her career at Henson International Television. She has been honored by Reed MIDEM in the past with a MIPTV Médaille d'Honneur.

Earlier this week Reed MIDEM announced that ITV chief Adam Crozier would deliver a MIPCOM keynote. The market, which is celebrating Turkey as the country of honor this year, will also include Dana Walden and Gary Newman, the chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group, who will receive the Personalities of the Year award.
