STUDIOCANAL Names New President of International Distribution

PARIS: Rodolphe Buet, the CEO of STUDIOCANAL Germany, has been appointed the president of international distribution and marketing for STUDIOCANAL, effective March 1.

Buet will also oversee STUDIOCANAL’s operations in Germany, Australia, New Zealand and China. He will report to Olivier Courson, the chairman and CEO of STUDIOCANAL. The exec joined the company in January 2005 as sales and marketing director before transitioning in 2009 to executive VP in charge of international distribution. He has been the CEO of STUDIOCANAL Germany since 2012.

Additionally, Kalle Friz has been tapped to replace Buet as CEO of STUDIOCANAL Germany, also starting March 1. He will report to Buet. Friz began working at the company in 2009 as executive VP of theatrical distribution. He was named COO January of last year.
