More Senior Appointments for Endemol Shine Group

LONDON/AMSTERDAM: Additional appointments have been made within the newly established Endemol Shine Group, with Lucas Church becoming chairman of Endemol Shine UK and Richard Johnston appointed CEO of that division.

Church is formerly the CEO of Endemol UK. In addition to serving as chairman of Endemol Shine UK, Church will take on the role of chairman of the group commercial board at Endemol Shine Group.

Johnston, formerly Endemol UK's chief operating officer, becomes CEO of Endemol Shine UK. Working with Church, he will oversee and support Endemol Shine UK's companies and labels that fall under the newly combined U.K. operation, including Tiger Aspect, Kudos, Princess Productions, Dragonfly, Remarkable Television and others.

Tim Robinson, the chief operating officer of Shine Group, is stepping down in the spring.

“Lucas and Richard have both played a central role in driving the expansion of Endemol’s traditional television business as well as innovating into new areas like online digital video,” said Tim Hincks, who, as president of Endemol Shine Group, will continue to have oversight of the U.K. “They are ideally suited to help grow the new group’s wide ranging U.K. operations and international commercial initiatives.”
