Yellow Bird CEO Steps Down, Johannes Jensen Appointed as Successor

PARIS: Anni Faurbye Fernandez is exiting the post of CEO of Yellow Bird effective September 1, to be succeeded by Johannes Jensen, who will also continue in his current role as CEO of Zodiak Nordic.

Fernandez will continue to work with Yellow Bird, a Zodiak Media company, as an executive producer on a number of projects. She will also be pursuing new ventures as a producer, setting up a Danish production company that will focus on feature films and TV series in Denmark. Fernandez has been with Yellow Bird since 2008, when she joined as an executive producer. Fernandez became CEO in January 2012.

Jensen said: “I'm delighted to get the opportunity to work even closer with the creative and talented team behind Yellow Bird. They have tremendous experience and an impressive track-record in producing big-scale international dramas and a number of exciting projects in the pipeline. I'm also pleased that Anni continues her collaboration with Yellow Bird as an executive producer. It allows us to carry on with Yellow Bird’s strategy, which should see the launch of more high-quality dramas in the near future.”

Fernandez added: “It has been very exciting to lead Yellow Bird and we have a lot of promising projects in development. I am very happy that I will continue to follow these projects as an executive producer. At the same time, I am very excited at the prospect of building up a Danish production company.”
