Channel 4 Adds to Comedy Commissioning Team

LONDON: Liz Lewin has joined Channel 4's comedy commissioning team, filling in for Nerys Evans, the deputy head of comedy, until February 2015.

Evans is on maternity leave. Lewin joins from Company Pictures, where she was series producer on the recent comedy London Irish for Channel 4 and both seasons of Beaver Falls for E4.

Lewin said: “I am genuinely excited to be working with Phil and all of the comedy team. Most of the shows I have worked on have been produced for Channel 4 so I feel very at home here at a broadcaster for which I have great affection and affinity.”

Phil Clarke, Channel 4’s head of comedy, said: “Liz brings with her a fantastic wealth of knowledge, commitment and enthusiasm for the role. We are very lucky to have her.”
