New Broadcast Operations Senior Director for A+E Networks UK

LONDON: A+E Networks UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and BSkyB, has appointed Remi Abayomi as its senior director of broadcast operations.

Abayomi will be charged with increasing the broadcasting operations infrastructure for the company’s networks in the U.K., Central Europe, Benelux, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Greece and Africa. He will collaborate with the operations groups at A+E Networks and BSkyB. He will work under Tom Davidson, the managing director of A+E Networks UK.

Over the past two decades, Abayomi’s career has focused on broadcast operations, engineering and IT. Prior to establishing his own consultancy, he served in executive roles at such companies as Viacom, MTV, Nickelodeon and Fox Kids Europe.

Davidson stated: "Remi brings a wealth of experience across broadcast operations and systems integration, particularly in the international channel space, and we are delighted that he will be working on the expansion of our channels."
