Global Screen Announces MIPTV Highlights

MUNICH: A selection of event movies, feature films, series and documentaries comprise the slate that Global Screen is bringing to this year’s MIPTV.

One of the event movies to be showcased is Heroes—originally titled Helden—which centers on a group of Geneva scientists who accidentally created a black hole that is affecting the Earth’s gravity. Other films include Mantrailer, Stolen Ransom (Lösegeld), Sixteen Oaks (Sechzehneichen), Omamamia, The Lumber Queen (Die Holzbaronin), Fidgety Philipp (Zappelphilipp), Yoko and Legends of Valhalla—Thor (3D). There will also be a number of movie collections on offer, including Homicide Unit Istanbul (Mordkomission Istanbul) and Who’s Kissing Doc? (Wer küsst den Doc?).

Series to be presented include Storm of Love (Sturm der Liebe), Alarm for Cobra 11 (Alarm für Cobra 11), Zoo Doctor—My Mom the Vet (Tierärztin Dr. Mertens) and Crime Time: The Con Squad (Heiter bis Tödlich: Hauptstadtrevier). The company will also be selling such documentaries as The Medici Files (Mord im Hause Medici), Charlemagne (Karl der Große), Food Savers (Die Essensretter), The Silence of the Pandas—What the WWF isn’t Saying (Der Pakt mit den Panda—Ist der WWF käuflich?) and Churchill’s Secret Corpse (Geheimakte Geschichte: Marschbefehl für eine Leiche).
