SPT Adds Richard Parsons to Management Team

LONDON: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has hired Richard Parsons as senior VP of corporate business and legal affairs for international production, effective later this month.

In his new position, Parsons will manage corporate business affairs for SPT’s international production companies and supervise deal executions on acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships. He will also serve as an advisor to the president and senior management team of the company’s international production business and head up corporate business affairs management and development. Based in London, he will work under Corii Berg, SPT’s senior executive VP of business affairs.

Parsons recently worked as a consultant for Wiggin LLP, a media legal practice in the U.K. Other titles he has previously held include chief counsel at Shine Group and director of corporate finance and legal affairs at BBC Worldwide.
