Platform ‘n’ Takes Select 2012 Olympic Games Broadcast Rights

WARSAW: The Polish DTH service Platform ‘n’ has acquired the rights to deliver more than 100 hours of Olympic Games coverage, in HD and 3D, from London this summer.

The Polish platform will kick off its coverage with the Opening Ceremony on July 27 and will offer up access to volleyball, handball, basketball, football, boxing, tennis, swimming and gymnastics events. All other events will be covered by pubcaster TVP and Eurosport.

The service, owned by TVN Group, had 966,000 subs at the end of Q1 2012.
