Zodiak Rights Partners with Asylum

LONDON: Zodiak Rights has signed a two-year development deal with Asylum Entertainment.

Per the agreement, Zodiak Rights will become Asylum’s international distribution partner for non-scripted formats and finished program sales. The first Asylum program to roll out from the deal is Travel Unraveled, a clip series for Travel Channel in the U.S. Zodiak Rights will launch the series at MIPTV this spring. In addition, the companies have collaborated on scripted projects, including the U.S. remake of the French thriller series Braquo.

Jane Millichip, the managing director of Zodiak Rights, said: “We’re delighted to become Asylum’s official international partner. Steve Michaels and Jonathan Koch have created a rich seam of high-quality, popular programming with strong international appeal. This deal not only gives Zodiak Rights the exclusive international rights, but it gives both companies the opportunity to maximize the international opportunities for Asylum’s formats and finished programs.”

“This is a milestone partnership for Asylum," added Steve Michaels, the president and CEO of Asylum Entertainment. “Zodiak knows our product, knows our market, and will be essential as we scale the reach of our programming beyond the U.S."
