Paprika Studios & RTL Hungary Bring Back Hypewriter Pitch Forum

Paprika Studios and RTL Hungary are once again hosting the Hypewriter international TV pitch forum in Central and Eastern Europe.

The competition aims to find genuine and “never-before-seen” TV series ideas. The winner receives €10,000 ($10,700), and the idea will be developed into a script and then into a pilot episode that will be presented to the public by RTL Hungary.

Applicants have until July 7 to send their submissions to the Hypewriter international TV pitch forum.

From there, a jury of television and film professionals will select the eight best works and invite the creators to Budapest to present their ideas in person at the end of September.

The final round, which will be held in English, will provide opportunities for the applicants to introduce their ideas not just to the jury and the invited guests but also to the members of the press.

Last year, Hypewriter received more than 450 pitch ideas from 38 countries, most from the Central and Eastern European region but also from the U.S., India, Brazil, Iran, Australia and Zambia.
