Monday Media has named Martin Dalgaard as the new group CEO, while Palle Strøm takes on the post of chief creative officer.

Dalgaard comes from a position as COO for Monday Group and managing director for Monday Denmark. Strøm, who joined Monday after several years as program director at TV 2 Denmark, moves up from his position as head of development for Monday Denmark.

Dalgaard takes on the job after Morten Bank, who continues as chairman of the board. Both are founders of Monday.

Dalgaard said: “We have an amazing amount of creative talent in the various labels, and we can see that the cross-border synergies are starting to pick up. Our new formats become bigger and stronger when the creatives join forces.”

Dalgaard added: “Palle has been very successful in creating formats out of Monday Denmark with shows like Next Design Icon, Five Senses and a recently commissioned big fashion show. With Palle in charge, we will see the group IP-creation reach a new level.”

In Denmark, Nicolai Bo Hjeds will take over the position as managing director of Monday Production. He steps up from a position as exec producer and head of production.

Dalgaard continued: “Nicolai is an extremely skilled content creator, he has a great understanding of our business and knows how to set up a strong and creative production unit. And, not least, he has the human insight and the eye for new talent that is so important for the Monday culture.”
