Finland’s Take Two Studios has appointed former Cinematic CEO Sara Norberg as partner and COO.

Norberg will be responsible for the delivery of all of Take Two Studios’ productions. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, including a three-year stint as CEO of Cinematic, during which the company released Helene and a remake of Comet in Moominland.

Also while at Cinematic, Norberg was in charge of the €9 million action thriller production Omerta 6/12, the biggest Finnish production ever in terms of scope and budget.

Other roles Norberg has held include line producer/production manager at Making Movies, production manager in theatrical distribution at Sandrew Metronome and CEO of the Korjaamo Group. She also oversaw Finland’s biggest film festival, Helsinki IFF—Love and Anarchy, for six years.

Norberg said: “After my many years in various leader positions in the entertainment industry, I feel I am finding a real home at Take Two Studios. It’s an incredibly exciting time to partner with entrepreneurs with such experience in media and especially in television. Together we have decided to become a strong international specialist in drama and documentary production whilst not ruling out features. We have a perfect team of partners with diverse experience in business, programming, production and developing ideas to audiences. With the knowledge of both the Finnish industry and the international content business, our slate consists of versatile projects for both local and international audiences. We are especially inspired by stories based on true events, and we are planning to launch a podcast network that will work as a testing ground and IP creation vehicle for our content.”
