Taco Rijssemus has been appointed CEO of All3Media Germany, while continuing to lead All3Media’s Dutch production companies idtv and ICP and running All3Media in Belgium.

Markus Schäfer, who has run All3Media’s German business and overseen idtv since 2015, has decided to step down as CEO. Rijssemus will take over the role from September 1 and will lead All3Media Germany’s production companies, which include filmpool entertainment, filmpool fiction, The Fiction Syndicate, south & browse, Tower Productions and Bon Voyage Films and the digital business Little Dot Studios.

Rijssemus said: “Markus and I have had a very successful partnership over the last five years, and I am very much looking forward to my new role. The German market is incredibly vibrant with huge opportunity and has so many talented content creators. Creating the excellent content, for which All3Media is known, in Holland and now also in Germany, is more than a job for me—it is a real passion. I can’t wait to start.”

Jane Turton, All3Media’s CEO, said: “Taco is a strong creative leader who has transformed idtv since taking over as chief executive, and I am delighted that he is taking on the role of CEO of All3Media Germany, one of our largest and most important businesses. I also want to extend a huge thank you to Markus, who has done an enormous amount to build the business with a fabulous team of creatives and talented executives. I have really enjoyed working together and wish him every success for the future.”

Schäfer said: “After 17 years at All3Media, I’ve decided to take on new challenges outside the company and am looking forward to doing so. This step is made much easier by knowing that our business is in the best hands with Taco Rijssemus, with whom I’ve worked closely in recent years. After his successful activities in the Netherlands, I’m confident that he will also take All3Media forward in Germany. I would like to thank my team, without whom the successful development of our companies would not have been possible, as well as my colleagues in our parent company in the U.K. My special thanks go to Group CEO Jane Turton for the fantastic collaboration and for placing her trust in me. With her support, we have shaped the company and moved it forward in Germany and the Netherlands.”
