ShortsTV has further expanded its global distribution following the platform’s launch on Amazon Prime Video Channels in the U.K., the Netherlands, Italy and Spain.

Amazon Prime members in these countries can now enjoy the live-action, animated and documentary shorts available via ShortsTV. The launch expands ShortsTV’s availability in over 4 million homes in the Netherlands, while those in the U.K., Italy and Spain will be able to enjoy the platform for the first time. All films will be localized for each territory. TVCortos, ShortsTV’s Spanish-language HD TV channel currently distributed across Latin America, will be made available in Spain, while the pan-European TV channel will be made available in the other territories.

Carter Pilcher, ShortsTV’s CEO, said: “After many years of working with Amazon Prime Video to bring individual titles to their customers in the U.S., the U.K. and Germany, it is an enormous thrill to add the complete ShortsTV service to Prime Video Channels in the U.K., the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Amazon’s Prime Video Channels allows us to bring a unique product to audiences featuring the very best international short films, with an on-demand library of the very best local award-winning films in each country. ShortsTV and TVCortos are not only great entertainment, but they are also essential products for those who love and know film deeply and crave authentic connection and impactful stories.”

Jesse Bergsma, ShortsTV’s EMEA President, said: “I am delighted to expand our European footprint—reflecting the same rapid growth of interest in short films that we’re seeing in India, Latin America and the U.S. With the addition of Spain, through Amazon Prime Video Channels, it is also exciting to see TV Cortos becoming available to the entire Spanish-speaking world.”
