L.A. Screenings Spotlight: Global Agency

Female-driven narratives are at the center of three drama series that Global Agency is spotlighting, including Sisters, which finds the daughters of estranged sisters uncovering their mothers’ dark secret while becoming tangled up in a conflict of their own.

In Gulperi, the titular protagonist seeks to escape from her domineering father by marrying and moving away to a provincial town, only to be widowed and left at the mercy of hostile in-laws. After fleeing to Istanbul, the main character fights for her children while finding new romance with an old love. A car accident sets the events in Meryem into motion, leaving one person dead and upturning the lives of three survivors.

Izzet Pinto, Global Agency’s founder and CEO, also lists among the company’s highlights the formats Upgrade and Keep it or Lose it.
