Lee Raftery Expands Role at NBCU International

Lee Raftery has taken on an expanded leadership position at NBCUniversal International as managing director for the U.K. and emerging markets, and chief marketing and content officer.

As managing director for the U.K. and emerging markets, Raftery will oversee growth strategy and drive performance for the group’s portfolio of channel brands, including Universal Channel, Syfy, E! Entertainment Television, Movies 24, Telemundo, Studio Universal and 13TH STREET. He will also manage both marketing and programming strategy across all of NBCU International’s networks group as chief marketing and content officer. He will continue chairing NBCU’s international marketing council and leading Project Symphony.

Based in London, Raftery will work under Satpal Brainch, the managing director for EMEA at NBCUniversal International Distribution & Networks, and Kevin MacLellan, the chairman of Global Distribution & International. Before joining the company in 2011, Raftery was senior VP of marketing, PR and on-air at Comcast International Media Group in Los Angeles. Before that, he held marketing roles at Hasbro, The Walt Disney Company and Unilever.
