LONDON/ATHENS: Greece’s Antenna Group is rolling out an SVOD service priced at €2.99 a month delivering a range of local content.

The subscription offering from ANT1 NEXT (Antenna Next) launches today with exclusive programming, box-sets and catch-up content, with titles that include the dramas Brousko, Twin Moons and Daddy Cool. The platform first launched as a TVOD service last year. While the slate currently focuses on scripted and entertainment, other genres are envisioned for the future.

Pete Smith, Antenna Group’s managing director, noted, “We are delighted to be launching our new SVOD service in Greece following the huge success of our TVOD platform last year. Viewers want more flexibility in how they consume content and ANT1 NEXT allows our audience—particularly the younger demographic—the opportunity to watch an episode of their favorite show before it airs on our linear channel or to catch up on one of our prime-time entertainment programs.”

He continued, “We are investing heavily in our digital brands and operations to make sure that our audiences in Greece and internationally are able to access our content in a variety of ways. We were the first broadcaster in Greece to launch such a service and we will continue to invest in content and technology to make sure that Antenna Group leads the way in innovation and viewer experience.”
