LONDON: A League of Their Own: US Road Trip has been greenlit for a second installment, in a deal between Sky and CPL Productions.

The new series, set to enter production this fall, once again sees James Corden invite his friends Jack Whitehall, Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff to America to get back on the road for another adventure. Locations in the new series include New York and Miami, as well as returning to Corden’s adopted hometown of Los Angeles.

In addition, Sky ordered a further three seasons of the panel show A League of Their Own from CPL. An 11th season of A League of Their Own will air on Sky 1 this fall.

Adam MacDonald, the director of Sky 1, commented: “A League of Their Own is totally on fire at the moment and James, Freddie, Jamie and Jack are on such brilliant form. Ratings and critical response for the studio shows have never been better and the awesome Road Trip specials have broken all records. I can’t wait to see what James puts the guys through in the second Road Trip outing and I’m so so pleased to have secured another three years of the genre-defining studio show for our Sky customers.”

Murray Boland, executive producer from CPL Productions, added: “We can’t wait to get back on the road with A League of Their Own: US Road Trip, the most successful series of ALOTO ever. It’s also great to be returning with a further three series of A League of Their Own, which just keeps getting bigger and better.”
