Acquisitions Exec Bun Beeson Rejoins MTG

STOCKHOLM: Bun Beeson has rejoined Modern Times Group (MTG) after six years at BBC Worldwide, tapped for the post of VP of pay-TV and VOD programming acquisitions.

Beeson will lead the team responsible for the acquisition of content for MTG’s Viasat Film and Series channels, and Viaplay and other streaming services in Scandinavia and internationally. She will focus on the further development of MTG’s programming strategy as well. Beeson will report to Vanda Rapti, the senior VP of programming acquisitions.

Previously, Beeson worked at MTG for four years, including two years as head of acquisitions of pay-TV programming for Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Beeson then headed to BBC Worldwide, serving as VP of global acquisitions in the content division, where she was responsible for acquiring all content for the international portfolio of BBC-branded thematic channels.
