BUDAPEST: Beyond Distribution has sold more than 100 hours of programming to broadcasters in Central and Eastern Europe, including a package deal with Poland’s TV Spektrum.

TV Spektrum acquired 45 hours of programming, including such titles as Stranger in My Home, When Surgical Tools Get Left Behind, Engineered, Manufactured and Secret Files of the Inquisition.

Also in Poland, Telewizja Polska picked up season eight of Deadly Women, which explores the psychological motivation that drives certain females to become murderers.

Serbian broadcaster TV Kanal Ultra scooped up all three seasons of the kids’ science show Backyard Science, based on the best-selling Dorling Kindersley book of the same name.

Zoe Allen, sales executive at Beyond Distribution, who is attending NATPE Budapest, said: “Broadcasters in Central and Eastern Europe have always been an important focus for Beyond. The demand for factual crime and kids’ series continue, and we have seen an increased interest in medical-based series. I’m really looking forward to meeting clients old and new and continuing to forge strong relationships with buyers at this year’s market.”
