LONDON: Localization company BTI Studios is opening a new dubbing facility in Paris this year to serve the French-speaking market.

BTI’s new dubbing studios will be custom built in Paris to help broadcasters and VOD services deliver their content to French viewers. The facility will include recording studios and mixing and editing suites featuring state-of-the-art technology. It is expected to be fully operational in October.

BTI Studios France will be led by Managing Director Thierry Baudry, who has worked in the French dubbing industry for more than 25 years. Baudry previously served as chief of dubbing operations worldwide at Mediadub International. He currently runs BTI’s French dubbing projects with his dedicated team and partner studios. This department will relocate to the new facility, which will service both French and international clients.

Björn Lifvergren, the CEO of BTI Studios, commented: “BTI is, rightly, highly regarded for the quality of its dubbing work. But we cannot rest on our laurels. Entertainment output is exploding worldwide and France is a key market for many of our clients, leading to an increased demand for high-quality French dubbing. This new facility is an important part of our ongoing expansion to meet those demands.”

Baudry added: “I know only too well the passion French audiences have for their language and how appreciative they are of dubbing that respects that passion. These new studios will help BTI to ensure it remains a leading player in producing high-quality French-language dubbing.”
