BUCHAREST: Paprika Latino, which is part of Nice Entertainment and the MTG group, has appointed Akos Erdos to the post of CEO.

Erdos joined Paprika in 2013 as COO. He is replacing Peter Marschall, who is leaving the company as part of a planned succession process. Marschall founded Paprika in 2004.

“I am very pleased to announce Akos as the new CEO of Paprika,” said Morten Aass, the CEO of Nice Entertainment. “He will continue to develop our relationships with our ever-growing customer base, and as more and more of our own formats are broadcasted across the Central Europe region. I also want to thank Peter, [who] now decided to leave us, for his fantastic contribution to the success of both Paprika and Nice, and we wish him the very best of luck for the future.”

Marschall commented: “Paprika has been my total focus and dedication for more than ten years. I have had the privilege to build and work with some of the most talented teams in the business, and I am really proud of what we have accomplished together. I have enjoyed every step of this entrepreneurial success story, and I am sure that Paprika and Nice will continue their positive development in the future.”

Paprika was first established in Romania and is now present in most of Central Europe, including the Baltics and Bulgaria. Paprika has also expanded into Costa Rica, where it produces formats such as Paradise Hotel and Survivor for multiple countries and broadcasters.
