COPENHAGEN: Further senior executive appointments have been made for Banijay Zodiak Nordic Group, including Karoline Spodsberg being named COO.

It was recently announced that Jacob Houlind assumes the post of Banijay Zodiak Nordic Group CEO. Peter Hansen now becomes Banijay Zodiak Nordic Group CCO and Spodsberg Banijay Zodiak Nordic Group COO. Additionally, Mads Ulrick Holmstrup will become deputy Nordic Group CCO and managing director of Mastiff Denmark.

Hansen commented, “There’s no doubt that this is a true merger between two great Nordic companies. Without being too specific on honoring names, the long tradition for Zodiak Sweden’s pipeline of new strong unique formats, as well as world recognized drama series is honestly breathtaking. Through our newly combined group we will invest even more into creativity. With joined forces, and together with our innovative and future oriented clients, we will make sure the Nordics will be a place to look for new exciting content and formats in the future.”

Spodsberg added, “We want to continue to generate value for our clients—being big does not necessarily mean being better. But being united in a new Nordic group with the most creative people on board will give us the opportunity to broaden and develop all parts of our business. All creatives will remain independent and continue their impressive work, but we will aim to create a strong Nordic community where we will build our new exciting future together.”
