NEW YORK: CSI Sports, a global provider of televised fighting content, has secured several carriage agreements for its 24-hour HD network Fight Sports with Nordic pay-TV operator Telenor.

CSI Sports closed the deals for carriage with Telenor Sweden, including its Canal Digital Cable, Telenor IP, Bredbandsbolaget and former Tele 2 Cable brands, and Canal Digital Kabel TV in Norway. Fight Sports is carried by operators across Europe, the Asia Pacific and North America.

The channel’s programming lineup features live World Title Boxing events such as WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO, as well as Championship Kickboxing, MMA, and exclusive reality programming, documentaries and original series. Telenor viewers can also watch classic fights with legendary boxing figures such as George Foreman and Mike Tyson.

Jonas Jegerborn, Telenor Sweden’s head of broadband and TV, stated: “We are happy to include the Fight Sports network in our wide range of content in Sweden. The channel adds diversity to our existing channels and represents a genre in increasing demand.”

CSI Sports co-CEOs Richard and Craig Miele added: “We are pleased to become part of the multi-country Telenor Group in the region. Our Fight Sports expansion continues on the back of new programming investments in live and original programming and leading channel performance results across Europe and Asia.”
