OSLO: Canal Digital and Turner have agreed to new terms of a distribution partnership that covers all Nordic countries.

In addition to the channels CNN, TNT, Cartoon Network and Boomerang, Canal Digital customers will get access to a large archive with complete seasons of current TV shows. Canal Digital aims to have the content available during the first six months of 2016.

Ragnar Kårhus, administrative director at Telenor Broadcast and Canal Digital, said: “As part of this agreement, we have also gotten access to complete seasons of shows that can be viewed whenever and wherever our customers desire. We know that more and more people watch TV in this manner. Turner’s wide selection of movies, drama series and kids’ content will be a great addition to our customer offering.”

“This new and expanded partnership with Canal Digital marks an important moment for Turner in the Nordic region, as we focus more and more on putting the consumer at the center of everything we do,” added Ian McDonough, the senior VP and managing director of Turner for the U.K. and Northern Europe. “For us this means concentrating our efforts around the hugely popular global channel brands within our portfolio, whilst seamlessly delivering through partners like Canal Digital a branded and editorialized on-demand experience for fans of our content.”
