LONDON: Shine TV has promoted two in-house executive producers to senior roles, bolstering its popular factual and features teams.

Lorna-Dawn Creanor is taking up a newly created post as head of features, while Ben Mitchell has been promoted to the new role of head of popular factual. Both have responsibility to create and produce new and returning formats for U.K. broadcasters. They will report to Shine TV’s managing director, Tanya Shaw, and work closely with Tim Whitwell, creative director.

Creanor became an in-house executive producer at Shine TV in 2013. Her most recent credits include The Force, Council House Crackdown and Made Over By.

Mitchell joined Shine TV as an executive producer in 2012. He co-developed and executive produced The Island with Bear Grylls.

“Lorna-Dawn and Ben are both hugely talented creative producers that have played crucial roles in our most popular hit shows,” said Shaw. “Their experience in producing and developing compelling formats ensures Shine TV can continue with the ambition to be at the forefront of bold features and popular factual programming.”
