FremantleMedia Taps Former Endemol Shine Exec

HELSINKI/LONDON: FremantleMedia has appointed former Endemol Shine executive Anne Wahlström as head of entertainment of its Finnish operation, effective January 1.

Wahlström joins FremantleMedia Finland following the addition of Joonas Hytönen as the new managing director of the company earlier this month. Wahlström will report to Hytönen and sit on the FremantleMedia Finland management board. She joins the company from Endemol Shine, where she served as creative director of productions. Prior to that, she was head of production at Solar Television.

FremantleMedia’s CEO for the Nordics, Eastern Europe and Balkans, Daniela Matei, who made the appointment, said: “Anne has fantastic experience working on high-profile local and international shows. I have no doubt that she will be a huge support to Joonas when he takes up the role, and that her skills and creativity will add value to our existing team.”

Wahlström added: “The FremantleMedia catalogue contains an impressive list of the world’s most talked-about entertainment shows. I can’t wait to start working with Joonas and the team to bring these to Finnish viewers.”
