LONDON: BBC Music is presenting Adele at the BBC, a world-exclusive entertainment show featuring the titular singer/songwriter and hosted by Graham Norton for BBC One.

The 60-minute one-off special will air on BBC One next month. Adele will perform classic tracks as well as songs from her highly anticipated new album 25, joined by her live band. The musician will also talk to Graham about her career and life. It will be her first TV performance since the Academy Awards in 2013, when she won an Oscar for the song "Skyfall."

BBC Worldwide is distributing the special to international broadcasters under the title Adele Live in London. The company is offering up the original hour-long version, as well as a 45-minute performance-only version. Presales have already been made to Canal Plus in Spain, VRT in Belgium, VARA on NPO3 in the Netherlands and CTV in Canada.

Adele commented: "I can't wait for the show. The BBC has been wonderful to me over the years and Graham and I get on great, so it's going to be a laugh."

Norton noted: "This is the music event of the year and I'm thrilled to be part of bringing it to BBC One. This opportunity to spend an hour with Adele, her music and her stories is a truly rare treat. If I wasn't hosting this special I'd be sat at home watching it!"

Bob Shennan, the director of BBC Music and controller for Radio 2, stated: "I'm incredibly proud that BBC Music is able to give viewers an unmissable night of music on BBC One, showing our commitment to supporting the U.K.'s most exciting new and established musical talents."

Charlotte Moore, controller for BBC One, added: "This has to be one of the most anticipated returns from one of the world's biggest music stars, and I feel privileged to announce that Adele will be performing live on BBC One for an incredibly special evening of entertainment hosted by the fabulous Graham Norton."
