LONDON/OSLO: As Nordic World reorganizes its senior team, Ann Christin Siljan has been promoted to the position of VP of acquisitions and Paulina Eklund to the role of VP of sales.

The restructuring follows the bankruptcy of Absolutely Independent earlier this year.

Siljan joined Nordic World three years ago as director of sales and acquisitions. In her new post, she will be responsible for worldwide acquisitions, as well as sales accounts in several key territories. Eklund, the New York-based director of sales, joined Nordic World in August 2014 from Absolutely Independent. She will continue to be based in NYC, where she will head up Nordic World’s global sales efforts and drive the company’s North American expansion. Both Siljan and Eklund will report to Espen Huseby, Nordic World's CEO.

Huseby said: “This is the beginning of a fresh chapter for Nordic World as it continues to transition from a regional distributor to an international player. It goes without saying that both Ann Christin and Paulina are highly skilled and experienced commercial talents. But more importantly, they have the energy, enthusiasm and vision to help us move forward after a challenging few months. Backed by Jan Salling’s huge experience of the international market, I have every confidence that Nordic World’s new management team will take us to the next level.”
