VIMN Brands Extend Reach on Pay-TV Platforms in Spain

MADRID: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) in Spain has signed a slew of distribution agreements with various pay-TV platforms in the region.

As part of the deals, Movistar TV will include MTV and Nick Jr. in its portfolio, while Telecable adds MTV and Nickelodeon HD to its packages. Additionally, the HD kids' brand is currently available on Canal Plus, ONO, Euskaltel and soon on Orange and R.

Raffaele Annecchino, the executive VP and managing director for South Europe, Middle East and Africa at VIMN, stated: “These partnerships with the most important pay-TV platforms in Spain provide an ideal opportunity for VIMN to increase its audience in the region. Our kids and family channels, Nickelodeon HD and Nick Jr., along with the MTV brand, create a perfect balance and provide programming that appeals to audiences ranging from preschoolers to teens and adults.”
