FIC Appoints New MD for Spain & Portugal

MADRID: FOX International Channels (FIC) has named Vera Pinto Pereira as managing director of FIC Spain and Portugal.

Pinto Pereira joined the company as COO for FIC Southern Europe and Africa in January 2014. She will continue to report to Adam Theiler, the executive VP of FIC Southern Europe and Africa.

Theiler said of the promotion: “Vera joined FIC with extensive and relevant pay-TV experience and has since demonstrated not only her ability to lead across business units but to build first-rate partnerships with our affiliates and advertisers. Her promotion to managing director of FIC Spain and Portugal is a testament to her applied vision, persistent drive and tireless dedication to the teams that deliver world-class FOX and National Geographic Channels every day. A pioneer in Portuguese pay TV, Vera’s new role will allow her a more central, active, role in shaping the future of FIC channel brands in Iberia."
