LONDON/LOS ANGELES: Entertainment One (eOne) and Amazon Prime Instant Video have entered into a multiyear, multi-territory TV content deal for the U.K. and Germany.

The pact sees Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.K. and Germany getting first-run access to a wealth of content from the U.S.-based AMC and SundanceTV, which eOne manages the international distribution for on an exclusive basis. Members of Amazon Prime Instant Video will be able to watch AMC and SundanceTV's established original series in October, and new and future scripted series made available the day after broadcast in the U.S.

"We're absolutely delighted to extend our relationship with Amazon Prime Instant Video in such a meaningful way, and bring the very best television content to audiences in the U.K. and Germany. This is a landmark deal for us all," said Stuart Baxter, the president of eOne Television International.

"We are delighted that Amazon is the home for TV’s best dramas from around the world,” added Chris Bird, the film and TV strategy director at Amazon Prime Instant Video. “It’s incredibly exciting to offer Amazon Prime Instant Video customers in the U.K. and Germany such highly sought-after series just one day after airing in the U.S.”
