LONDON: BBC Worldwide has unveiled the programming slates for its new genre brands BBC Brit and BBC Earth, which are launching in Poland on February 1, 2015.

Both linear channels are set to showcase entertainment and factual content from the BBC and U.K. independents. BBC Brit will be the exclusive home of the popular motoring show Top Gear, with the 22nd season premiering in Poland the same day as the U.K. The channel will also air Mud, Sweat and Gears, LA Stories: City of Dogs, Moaning of Life, Speed with Guy Martin Series and Duck Quacks Don’t Echo. The network’s lineup continues with David Beckham: Into the Unknown and Billy Connelly’s Big Send Off.

Meanwhile, BBC Earth’s slate will feature factual shows such as Life Story, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, along with Human Universe, Life Below Zero: The Thaw, Lands of the Monsoon, Deadly Pole to Pole and Sugar V Fat.

“The BBC is renowned throughout the world for the quality and intelligence of its output,” said Grant Welland, the executive VP of CEMA for BBC Worldwide. “Add to that some of the biggest names on television brought together in two carefully curated channels and you have a unique and exciting offering. I am delighted to be bringing these to Polish audiences this February.”

Both networks join existing local channels BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies and BBC HD in the Polish market.
