New VP of Digital for VIMN Northern Europe

BERLIN: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Northern Europe has appointed Mathias Blüm as head of its digital unit.

In the role of VP of digital media for Northern Europe, Blüm’s tasks will include the development of the digital business as well as potential partnerships and the creation and implementation of new locally adapted strategies. The exec will also be responsible for the digital development as well as the implementation of holistic digital strategies for the entire VIMN portfolio, including its core brands MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and VIVA in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. He’ll be based in Berlin and report to Magnus Kastner, the executive VP and managing director of VIMN Northern Europe.

Blüm is co-founder and former CEO of clipkit. He previously worked in the management of the RTL subsidiary clipfish.de. His former professional appointments include roles at Lycos, Fireball and Gruner + Jahr.
