STOCKHOLM: Morten Mogensen is transitioning from the role of program director of MTG TV in Denmark to the newly created post of chief content officer for MTG free-TV in Scandinavia.

Mogensen assumes the new role as of November 1. He will be working with the program directors in each country to ensure that the best plans and content are in place in each market, making the most of local positions and channel portfolios. Mogensen will report to Anders Jensen, the executive VP of MTG's Scandinavian free-TV and radio operations. He has been with MTG since 2005, having joined as commissioning editor. He moved on to become head of Own Productions in 2007 and program director in 2008.

Mogensen said: “It is with great anticipation and enthusiasm that I take on this role. My vision is to leverage our scalability where size is beneficial, and our localized expertise where that is most advantageous. Together with the program directors in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, I will strive for collaboration when it is useful and go all-in in order for us to clearly stand out in a local context with distinct and unique products for our channels.”

Jensen commented: “Morten has done a great job in Denmark and I am confident he will bring great value across our Scandinavian operations. I am certain he will make sure that we make use of both the synergies in the markets as well as their differences. We operate in very competitive markets where some of the world’s best content is created and produced. The appointment of Morten will guarantee that we are a truly great partner and that we drive and plan our needs for the best content.”
