MILAN: Sky and Telecom Italia have inked a new deal to broadcast Sky channels dedicated to UEFA Champions League matches and UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers on TIM’s 3G and 4G networks.

The games will be available to TIM customers on smartphones and tablets through mobile broadband and ultrabroadband networks, as well as wifi from the Telecom Italia fixed network. Users must download a free to app to access the dedicated channels.

The agreement strengthens a strategic partnership the two companies entered last November. This will continue at the start of 2015 with the setup of the first new generation of IPTV in Italy to broadcast Sky’s entire TV offer through Telecom Italia’s ultrabroadband networks.
