LONDON: Endemol has entered into an exclusive first-look development and distribution deal with the British producer Feel Films.

The three-year pact sees Endemol providing development funding and deficit financing in return for exclusive first-look distribution rights on the company's output. Feel Films' TV and movie credits include Skellig for Sky 1 in the U.K., Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell for BBC One and the upcoming feature film The Song of Names.

Cathy Payne, the CEO of Endemol Worldwide Distribution, commented: “EWD has been extremely fortunate to have worked with Nick Hirschkorn and Feel Films on Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, which we will launch at MIPCOM 2014. We are thrilled to be cementing our relationship with this three-year deal and look forward to collaborating on some exciting projects in the near future.”

Nick Hirschkorn, the managing director and executive producer of Feel Films, said: “Cathy, Mark and the whole Endemol team have been so supportive of the creative process throughout the production of Jonathan Strange that it felt like a totally natural development for us to partner up for the future. I am excited about working with them to bring some more high-end, literary-based projects to life.”
