CBS Channels Expand U.K. Reach

LONDON: AMC Networks International—Zone has reached a deal that brings CBS Action, CBS Drama, CBS Reality +1 and Horror Channel to TalkTalk TV in the U.K.

The CBS portfolio of channels is already available in the U.K. via Sky, Virgin and Freesat. Beginning today they are available to TalkTalk's IPTV customers. "TV from TalkTalk just keeps getting better," said Henrik Karlberg, head of pay TV at TalkTalk. "Over a million homes across Britain subscribe to the service and it’s fantastic to see that, as we continue to grow, we’re attracting first-class free-to-air channels, meaning we can offer customers even more of the best content without any additional cost."

Tanya Gugenheim, chief business development officer at AMC Networks International—Zone, added: "2014 has been our best year to date, with over 10 million adults tuning in to a CBS channel each month. We will be able to connect with even more people by tapping into TalkTalk TV’s ever-growing and extremely diverse consumer base, which proves a great fit with our channels.”

CBS Chello Zone UK Channels is a joint venture between CBS Studios International and AMC Networks International—Zone (formerly Chello Zone).
