GENEVA: International TV distribution network Eurovision is mounting its largest broadcast-services operation yet, distributing HD signals of all 64 World Cup games to rights holders throughout the tournament.

The games, including the final, will be broadcast in 4K resolution through Eurovision’s global network. The company will also provide data lines via satellite to assist broadcasters in delivering match commentary. Other services will include content carried from the various stadiums to the rights holders through Eurovision’s fiber-optic network FiNE, along with a mobile app that will help broadcasters cover breaking news.

“This is the biggest and most complicated broadcast operation Eurovision has ever undertaken,” said Graham Warren, the director of network for Eurovision. “We are proud to be bringing the world’s largest football event, and surrounding activities, to millions of homes around the world.”
