SPI International Acquires Endemol Programming for FilmBox

NEW YORK/LONDON: SPI International has licensed a number of titles from Endemol for broadcast on the FilmBox channels in Central and Eastern Europe.

The agreement includes A Place to Call Home, a romantic drama series produced by Seven Networks Australia, and Peaky Blinders, a period drama from Tiger Aspect Productions and Caryn Mandabach Productions. There is also Screentime's Janet King, a legal and political thriller, and the Endemol Australia scripted series Puberty Blues.

"What we have recently acquired from Endemol can be described as a very solid package of well-produced daytime and also prime-time content, which we are excited to show on our numerous FilmBox movie channels in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria," noted Berk Uziyel, the executive director of Filmbox International.
