LONDON: Shine International has appointed Kerry Ball to the newly created role of senior VP of digital business development.

Ball will be leading the digital sales strategy globally. She will also manage day-to-day sales to digital and home entertainment platforms for properties represented by Shine International. Ball, who takes up the role in mid-April, will be based at the London headquarters. She reports to Nadine Nohr, the CEO.

Ball joins from Stingray Digital, where as VP for Europe she headed sales and business development and the region’s office for the Canadian-based digital entertainment group. Prior to this she spent eight years at NBCUniversal, serving as VP of international new media.

Nohr said: “Digital is a key area for ourselves and our industry. Gordon has helped us establish a strong foundation in this area and been a brilliant collaborator; we are very appreciative of all his insights and help, both to date and in ensuring a seamless transition. Kerry joins us with expertise drawn from both start up and studio roles. She will be a fantastic addition to the team.”

Ball said: “Shine has a strong, growing and award winning catalogue which provides a plethora of opportunities across the increasingly fragmented digital marketplace. I am excited about working with the talented team at Shine International and Shine Group companies to leverage the content and contribute to both digital and overall growth.”
